Who We Are
Our Commitment to Conservation and Animal Welfare
At Wilderness Woodend, we are dedicated to providing enriching, naturalistic environments that support the health, wellbeing, and natural behaviours of the animals in our care. Our spacious habitats are carefully designed with natural features that encourage exploration, activity, and positive welfare outcomes. We take great pride in our successful breeding programmes for a range of threatened and endangered species. Through responsible management and the provision of large, natural habitats, we contribute to conservation efforts by maintaining healthy, sustainable populations and helping to safeguard these remarkable species for future generations. We also provide refuge and sanctuary for animals in need, offering them a safe and caring home. Visitors are invited to connect with and learn about some of the world's most charismatic creatures, fostering a greater appreciation for wildlife and the importance of conservation.

Bird Habitats
We aim to enrich our birds' lives with engaging environments. Our spacious aviaries include natural elements for prime health and wellness. We take pride in our successful breeding in these large natural aviaries to improve conservation results and protect our endangered avian species by sustaining a viable population.
Reptile Habitats
Our commitment is to offer spacious natural habitats for our reptiles. The majority of our adult reptiles reside outdoors or in greenhouses, ensuring diversity in environmental conditions. We are presently working on a large walk-through tunnel house that will eventually house all our reptiles, allowing you to observe these prehistoric looking creatures.
Rescue and Rehoming
We have been fortunate to be able to offer long term homes for many animals and birds where they have no longer been able to reside where they were, or were in need of a new home. We stride ourselves on positive welfare, and enabling natural lives for those we care for.
